I am an elderly Christian lady with advanced Alzheimer’s living at home with live-in care, who provide support around the clock and care assistants who help me in the morning, evening and when the live-in carer has their break.

- I am looking for a female live-in carer. Hours of work available are consecutive 24-hour shifts starting on Thursday morning and finishing Sunday morning. The rate of pay is £150 per day.

- I am also looking for female Care Assistants, to support me, assisting the live-in carer for an hour in the morning and also to help in the evening with my personal needs and possibly to cover a two-hour break period as well. Hours of work available are 8am – 9am, 2 hours to cover breaks around lunch, and half an hour in the evening. The rate of pay is £13 per hour.

The ideal candidate will live locally to me, preferably a non-smoker, be flexible and have a genuine caring nature. You will need to be calm, capable, patient and reliable. You must also be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and integrity, promoting my independence and respecting my home.

I need support with all tasks of daily living throughout the day. I like these to be performed in an organised manner so that I am aware of what is happening and have structure to my day. These include domestic household tasks, personal care, undressing and dressing, helping with meal preparation, meal times and getting in and out of bed.

Successful candidates will ideally have relevant experience, although this is not essential, full support and training will be given as needed.

You will be expected to be flexible when necessary to try and cover other team members when they take annual leave/sick days.

If you think this sounds like you I’d love to hear from you.

(The position is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and two references and is exempt from the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9.)
